Gary began his career in Winnipeg at Dominion Bridge as a draftsman. He soon moved to the Calgary sales office, then worked for various companies until moving to Langley.
Gary started ProFab Steel Ltd. in Surrey, BC in 1988 with Jurgen Meier. They began fabricating steel equipment for the sawmill sector. Gary ran the office – estimating, detailing, purchasing, project management and coordination. As the business grew, ProFab moved into Langley where they expanded into structural and miscellaneous steel. In 1998 Profab Steel (1998) Ltd. was incorporated and soon Jurgen retired and Jay El Sayed joined Profab as Gary’s partner.
Gary is now the head estimator and oversees the office administration.
